Students at Buckingham Primary School are enjoying their new-look playground, thanks to a £1,500 cash injection.
The donation came from The Barratt Foundation who are working in partnership with Barratt Homes, the housebuilder responsible for the St Rumbold’s Fields development.
The Barratt Foundation says it aims to support children, young people and disadvantaged groups across the UK. By refreshing the school’s existing play equipment, it provided more opportunities for students to socialise and get enrichment outside.
Marc Woolfe, Director of Sales at Barratt Homes North Thames, said the playground “has been loved by students over the years… We can see how committed the teachers are to the development of their pupils, and we hope our donation supports outdoor learning further”.
Kelly Brookes, Assistant Headteacher, said: “The art of outdoor play is essential to children’s learning and development. We are so grateful to Barratt North Thames for this generous donation, as well as their previous support to improve our playground. Our biggest challenge is now getting our pupils back inside due to just how much they love the refreshed space.”
