Aylesbury Grill, a local takeaway business, has been fined £12,000 after repeatedly dumping waste irresponsibly in public areas. Bucks Council took the business to court following reports of bin bags being left by litter bins in Kingsbury.

An investigation began last summer when the authority received complaints about commercial waste improperly disposed of by Aylesbury Grill. CCTV footage confirmed the staff’s actions, leading to a formal warning in July 2023. Despite this, the business continued its illegal dumping.

Wycombe Magistrates’ Court found Aylesbury Grill House Ltd guilty of seven charges. District Judge Sharma highlighted the deliberate nature of the offences, which posed hygiene risks. The company was fined £6,000, ordered to pay £3,862.74 for clean-up and investigation costs, and a £2,400 victim surcharge.

Councillor Thomas Broom condemned the actions, emphasizing the health risks of such practices. Bucks Council’s new campaign, “For Bucks Sake!”, aims to combat littering with increased penalties.
