According to Metro, Cat Deeley, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have given fans of SMTV Live something to look forward to later this year… The much loved kids show is back.
SM:TV Live launched in 1998 and was hosted by Ant, Dec and Cat until 2001.
Stars including Tess Daly and Stephen Mulhern then took over the show until it came to an end in 2003, where it was replaced by Holly Willoughby’s series Ministry of Mayhem.
During Cat, Ant and Dec’s time on the show, the team was known for hilarious sketches including Chums – a spoof of Friends that saw the trio living together and having celebrity guests cameo.
Speaking about the reunion, Cat recently revealed that the three of them were all in tears.
Cat told Chris Moyles during his Radio X show, that they have “filmed a documentary, it’s going to be aired the end of the year. We went back to the studio where we did it. They rebuilt the set. We all cries.”
“I walked in and they were doing their interview and Dec was crying and I was like “ok you’re crying!” and then at the end of my interview I was like, “waaah!”.’
Cat added: ‘We all have a bit of a cry, we take the mickey out of each other, it’s very, very, very cute.”
SMTV Live airs later this year on ITV.
