Buckingham is set to celebrate Small Business Saturday with a variety of activities designed to encourage residents to shop, dine, and explore the town.

On 7 December, the town centre will come alive with a rock hunt, the launch of a new shop-local incentive and festive entertainment, including a performance by the young talents of Buckingham Stagecoach Performing Arts.

There will be a special reindeer hunt for kids around shops by spotting stickers on windows to earn a free visit to Santa’s grotto. Trail sheets will be available from Dandy Lions Boutique in Cornwall’s Meadow.

The event promises a fun-filled day for the whole family with additional surprises to delight visitors.

Hosted by local businesses and supported by the Buckinghamshire Business Support Programme, the event creates an opportunity to enjoy the holiday spirit while supporting independent shops in the town.

Robin Stuchbury, Chair of the Town Centre and Events Committee said: “Buckingham Town Council, through its Town Centre Manager, Tourist Information Centre, and annual calendar of events, strives to work collaboratively with everyone to promote and strengthen the local economy in Buckingham and North Buckinghamshire.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses and sock up the festivities on offer.”
