The collapse of a high rise building on Monday which was under construction in Nigeria has left the death toll to climb to 36.

The rescuers have been furiously looing for survivors of the accident since Monday but unfortunately there have been none found alive.

The excavating machines have been trying to plough through the rubbles to find victims as many family members are worried and frustrated.

It has been said that the relatives of this incident have been looing for their family but say that the authorities were too slow to respond as the support desk for the relatives has only been set up 48 hours after the incident took place.

Although  the government of Lagos state has said that the rescue operation is still ongoing and an independent panel has been set up in order to aid the investigation into the cause of the collapse of the building.

They say it will soon be publishing the findings in about 30 days.
