The Children In Need 2019 appeal show will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 7 pm tonight and run throughout the evening.
The broadcast is live from the BBC’s Elstree studios ‘expect a special night full of fun for all ages’ hosted by Tess Daly, Ade Adepitan, Graham Norton, Mel Giedroyc and Marvin and Rochelle Humes. Plus, comedian Tom Allen will also be taking on hosting duties this year as he joins the BBC Children in Need presenting line-up for the first time. Promotional video
Live performance highlights include; Big the musical, Strictly Come Dancing, Graham Norton’s Big Red Chair, The Hit List, England Football team, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, Circus 1903, Mock the Week, and Crackerjack.
The history of the appeal show started on Christmas day in 1927 was a five-minute radio broadcast. The response was positive and it raised £1,143 18s 3d which was split between 4 prominent children’s charities.
Last year, Children In Need raised £50,595,093 million on the Friday evening broadcast alone.
