Facebook has delayed the launch of their dating feature in Europe due to a last-minute inspection from the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC).
The DPC was told about the new feature ten days ahead of the planned launch but was not provided with any information or documentation.
Officers from the DPC gathered the documents during the inspection of Facebook’s EU headquarters on Monday. The delay affects the UK market as this feature is bound to EU rules during the post-Brexit transition period. No new release date has been set.
