The government’s current priority is to set schools to reopen in September and to make it safe for students to go back.
“We have to get children back to school in September” said Housing Secretary Mr Robert Jenrick.
Schools are due to reopen in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland at the start of the school’s autumn term. Scientists advised the government that some restrictions might need to be reinstated for the safety of students inside the classroom.
Mr Jenrick stated that the government have already published guidelines and will continue to work with unions and headteachers over August to finalise the plans on how to make the school environment safe for children.
