The University of Buckingham’s Vice Chancellor’s speaker series continues on March 5, with a talk and Q&A with historian David Starkey.
The talk is entitled ‘Rethinking English Conservatism Where did it begin; Where might it end?’.
David Starkey, is renowned for his books, major historical exhibitions and acclaimed TV documentary series. His controversial commentary is often labelled confrontational, and sparks both praise and criticism.
Starkey was earlier dropped by his publisher, HarperColins and the Canterbury Christ Church University, after publicly sharing some of his opinions.
The Vice Chancellor’s speaker series has previously hosted Richard Tice, leader of Reform UK and Her Excellency Barbara Montalvo Alvarez, the Cuban Ambassador.
The talk is scheduled for 6pm with drinks and a reception from 5:30. It is open to the public and students, and is held in the Vinson Building Auditorium.
