Two 6-year old boys with the help of their community have raised over £37,000 from a lemonade stand for the Yemen crisis, according to the BBC.
Best friends, Ayaan and Mikaeel from Redbridge set up a lemonade stand to raise funds for Yemen-Aid.
Ayaan said, “They have really, really, really skinny arms and I could see their bones. It just made me really sad. It made me realize that we’re lucky we have money.”
The UK has been going through a tough time during the pandemic but in Yemen, there are 24 million people who are in need of aid. The two kids have taken enormous steps to raise awareness in their community.
