Thames Valley Police is looking for information following the two laser attacks on aircraft in Oxfordshire.

The attacks occurred on the 4th and 5th February after a green laser targeted two training aircraft in the Chipping Norton and Charlbury areas in Oxfordshire.

PC Renee Gabbey-Cristofini, the investigating officer of the incidents, said: “These were extremely reckless acts which placed both aircraft in significant danger.”

In the first incident, the plane was carrying three people. The laser was shone at around 7.15pm.

The pilot, a 21 year old male, was injured by the laser with a suspected laser burn to his eye.

The plane landed safely and pilot was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injury is currently unknown.

The second incident happened at around 5.45pm when the aircraft was approximately three mile north of Charlbury when the laser was shone at the plane.

Nobody was injured in this incident and the plane landed safely.
