A week after opening the biggest store in the Global Estate in Birmingham, Primark has opened another brand new store – this time in Centre:MK shopping centre according to the Milton Keynes Citizen.
Situated in a former BHS unit on Silbury Arcade, the 75,000sq ft store is the largest new store to open at the Milton Keynes shopping centre in the last 25 years
The new store features larger shopping aisles as part of Primark’s new store format, and offers its entire range of womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and homeware.
The opening is also a response to Centre:MK’s customer surveys, which had shown Primark to be the most requested store among visitors to the shopping centre.
“We’re delighted to open a second Milton Keynes store in Centre:MK,” Primark UK retail director Simon Gibbs said.
“Today’s opening brings the number of Primark stores to 189 in the UK and 370 internationally and we look forward to continued growth.”
The opening follows successful footfall growth for Centre:MK, which saw it record 25 million shopper visits in 2018 – above the national benchmark for UK shopping centres.
Centre:MK has also been ranked within GlobalData’s top 10 shopping centres in the UK.
