The University of Buckingham Library hosted a ‘Love Your Research’ event on 14 February. Students from various departments presented a thesis within three minutes to an audience of their colleagues and other academics.
The topics ranged from technology, football, literature, business and law.
University Librarian Malcolm Meaden- Pratt said: “It’s more friendly and lowkey, but the idea is to encourage people to talk about the things they’re doing and the things they like.”

Thesis: Exploring Service Anxiety
Winner of the competition, Ashen Joseph said: ” I used to work in hospitality back in Sri Lanka and one of the main problems I found was wondering why employees were not able to build relationships with customers.”

Thesis: “Your Honour, AI: Algorithmic Justice.” Can AI robotic judges replace human judges?

Thesis: Charles Dickens and the Magic Lantern
The event was held in the Vinson building and is expected to continue next year.
