Two people who were arrested at the scene of a Milton Keynes murder have been released on bail.

A 24-year-old man, from Nuneaton, and a 49-year-old woman, from Milton Keynes, have been released on conditional police bail until 28th March 2020.

They were taken into custody last Saturday on suspicion of murder after they were found at the site of a murder in Clay Hill, Two Mile Ash, Milton Keynes.

Police were called to the incident at 9:15am on Saturday morning to a 49-year-old man with serious injuries. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he died, with a post-mortem later concluding that the man had been killed by a ‘stab wound to the neck’.

Thames Valley Police have now renewed their appeal for information to aid the ongoing investigation.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Andy Shearwood said: “We are working to thoroughly investigate the circumstances that led to the death of a man in Clay Hill on Saturday.

“Two people who were arrested and questioned in connection with this incident have now been released on bail, and I am appealing again to the local community for their help as our investigation continues.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anybody who was in the area of Two Mile Ash between 7.30am and 9.30am on Saturday who witnessed any unusual activity to please contact police.

“Even if you think what you have seen is not significant, it may be crucial to our investigation, and similarly, if anybody was driving in the area, please can you check dash-cam footage and if it has captured any unusual activity, please make contact with us.

“We are working to establish what has happened, and I would also urge the community not to speculate as to the circumstances that led up to this.”
