Bucks Council have won the silver award in the Digital Transformation category at the Social Workers of the Year Awards.

The award was given to recognise the efforts of the council in developing online tools to aid those thinking of fostering, adopting or partaking in special guardianship.

The council developed Adoption Ready and Fostering Ready to check eligibility and suitability of those wishing to adopt or foster and to give more information on the process.

The council was one of 18 award recipients.

The Social Workers of the Year Awards provide a platform of recognition for those who contribute to improving the lives of less fortunate others. Each category is judged by panel members with lived experience and senior figures in the social work environment. They were established in 2006 and gained charitable status in 2011.
