US Open Champion Emma Raducanu is set to announce Torben Beltz as her new coach, according to the BBC.
The 44 year-old German coached compatriot Angelique Kerber to Australian and US Open titles in 2016.
The pair split before reuniting this season but Ms Kerber announced earlier this week that they would not be working together in 2022 following speculation of Mr Beltz’s new role with the Briton Raducanu.
The Telegraph first reported the story after uncovering a photograph of the coach with the 18 year-old and her agent Chris Helliar in Orpington that had been posted on an Instagram fan account for the star.
The image was posted on 20 October, the same week Ms Raducanu was known to have been trialling new coaches at the nearby Bromley Tennis Centre.
Reports say that terms have been agreed with Mr Beltz to become the world number 20’s new coach.
She has been without a full-time coach after splitting with Andrew Richardson in the aftermath of her remarkable US Open victory.
Ms Raducanu has stated that she was searching for a coach with more WTA Tour experience.
When asked about her new coach on Sunday, Ms Raducanu said: “I’m really feeling positive about my coaching situation.
“I had some trials and they went well – I’m going to have someone in place and I’m really excited to get some good work done in pre-season.”
